Badam Pisin With Milk/How to use Badam Pisin[Almond Gum]/Badam Pisin – natural body coolant
Badam pisin or Almond gum is an edible gum collected from badam/almond trees. Badam tree bark secretes the gum and it gets dried up, which is later collected and used for medicinal purposes. They look like little rocks which are white in colour and an excellent natural body coolant. The famous drink of Tamil Nadu - Jigarthanda, Rose milk etc are prepared by adding Nannari sarbat to the badam pisin. The badam pisin is soaked overnight in water which then becomes like jelly; this jelly can then be used along with sarbats. Badam Pisin is a natural jelly which can be consumed by everyone to beat the heat and keep the body cool. This is badam pisin milk is an easy and simple home remedy during the hot summer days.

Ingredients
Badam Pisin/Almond Gum- 2 or 3
Water -1 to 1 ½ cups
Milk -1 cup [boiled & cooled]
Sugar- 1 tsp
Elachi/Cardamom powder [optional] -One pinch
( Vanilla icecream )optional
Method
This is how Badam pisin/almond gum looks like…
Soak the badam pisin in water overnight.
It looks like jelly the next day morning.
Scoop out 3 spoons of jelly to a cup, add milk, sugar, elachi powder mix well and enjoy.
Serve with scoop of vanilla icecream.

Don't underestimate the size of badam pisin just 2 or 3 pieces will make one full glass of jelly.
