RAGI ROTI RECIPE

RAGI ROTI 


Ragi - finger millet which is known to be rich in nutrients.
Ragi roti crisp and soft texture combined with taste of drumstick leaves & onion makes it one of the healthier breakfast in traditional style.
It's preparation is also very very simple.
       
       



Ragi Roti with Peanut Chutney


Ingredients for Ragi roti:

  •   1 cup Ragi flour 250 grams
  •   1/4 cup small onions (peeled and chopped)
  •  1 green chilli (chopped)
  •  1 handfull Drumstick leaves (chopped)
  •  Oil / ghee
  •   Salt and water as needed..


Instructions


  1. Add Ragi flour,onions,chillies, drumstick leaves,salt, to a mixing bowl.
  2. Add water as needed and make a soft dough that is spreadable.
  3.  Make 4 equal sized balls,place one ball of dough on the pan.
  4. Grease your fingers or dip your fingers in a bowl of water.
  5. Spread the dough gently to a thin roti on  greased tawa.
  6.   Place it on stove and cook until you see the color of roti changes to a darker shades.
  7.  Pour some ghee or sesame oil on it.
  8.  Then flip the roti and fry on other side too until done.
  9.   Now yummy RAGI ROTI is ready to serve it goes well with Peanut chutney...
